Safety is a prime directive. You can see that a Jildo is lovely, and I want to assure you that it is safe.  We use natural wood, cut from the forest, and unprocessed by chemicals.  We leave no tool marks that could harbor bacteria.  Jildos are then sanded numerous times in progressively smaller increments (you will NEVER get a splinter from our Jildos!) before being completely sealed.  We apply multiple coats of the best, food safe finish available.  This is literally the same finish used in salad bowls and tongs.  Jildos are then polished with carnauba wax, used in the pharmaceutical industry to coat many pills.

A Jildo is safer to use than many other dildos.  Read my article for more information.  There is no chance of an allergic reaction to the ‘chemical soup’ that goes into a latex one. However, if you have ever had an allergic reaction to the types of wood listed, please avoid them. 

Next, let me assure you that our packaging is discreet.  Your Jildo is first well wrapped in its lovely, coordinating sheathe.  We even use natural, cellulose ‘peanuts’ for padding.  The outer box is plain white cardboard, and the return address is simply “WPR” (our company name is WoodPeckers Roost).    On international orders, we simply put ‘handmade wooden item’ on the customs form.
