The Woodpecker's Roost was brought to my attention earlier this year, when they were still a very young website, offering a beautiful selection of handmade wood dildos. Each Jildo is lovingly handcrafted from exotic or domestic hardwood, like zebra, purpleheart, cherry, and red oak. You can read and see how the Jildos are crafted. When I saw the images of the Jildos, I was impressed, but wondered what it would be like to use a dildo made of wood. They are certainly beautiful, but how would it feel?

My Jildo arrived snug in it's packing peanuts, and carefully sheathed in an extraordinarily beautiful bag of velvet. Untying the gold tassles, I found my beautiful wooden jildo. I'm not sure which wood mine is made from, but it's a beautiful warm brown color, with a natural marble of deeper brown. The whole piece is wonderful to look at and simply hold in my hands.
